Junior Elite Development Program
Our juniors have the unique opportunity to be apart of our Elite Development Program. Unrivalled access to some of the countries industry leaders in football, health and fitness to improve not only their football but themselves and help them on their path to higher level football.
Kody Rideg and Matt Purcell
Charging the way with this new and outstanding program exclusive to DPFC is Kodey Rideg and Matt Purcell. Both current coaches of junior sides.
The guys have organised multiple AFL players to come and speak with the Elite Program players throughout the 2023 season.
Phiv Demetriou
A name synonymous with AFL is Demetriou. Phiv is the brother of Andrew Demetriou who used to run the AFL. He now works with AFL and TAC clubs teaching players the correct technique of football skills, mostly kicking. Phiv's achievements include -
1. Development Manager Northern Region.
2. Presenter at AFL National Coaches conference in kicking.
3. Works with drafted AFL players improving their skill levels and football awareness.
His role in our Elite Program will concentrate on the football side. Kicking technique, Game sense and really fine tuning the skills of the players.
Shane Pace
Shane Pace, who has played at the Western Jets and williamstown vfl and also Altona seniors. Shane owns BE ELITE gyms, also sponsoring this program, and has worked close with Afl players such as Bailey Smith, Cody Raak and number of others including those in our senior list. His knowledge about health and fitness is second to none.
Shane's role in the program will concentrate on the health and fitness side. The boys and girls will be learning about recovery and proper lifting techniques. Health food options will be provided and where wanted meal plans supplied.
